Variations on the touchy subject of the launch date...

Variation A, October 07: What launch date? In the race against time we always seem to lose! What is needed here is patience and persistence. I do have to find a way to please the weather gods, so they’ll leave the sprinklers off until the beams are in place and I can put another shelter over everything, to be able to work through another winter.

Variation B, December 07: Never before in my entire life have I spent so much time with one and the same project! To safeguard my spiritual sanity I do need to promise myself that I will not spend more than four whole years building this boat. All right, to make it a Sunday we’ll announce the new launch date as April 29, 2008!

Variation C, March 08: Back to variation A. Patience and tenacity continue to be the name of the game... So many things still to do, no way we’re going to make it! Will we ever make it?Seriously, it looks like the end of summer now. ⁄Qué horor!

Variation D, June 08: Today, going through the checklist of things remaining to be done, it hit me. This, this, this and this, then this and that and that and... and... that’s it! We’re done! Three months, this should all be feasible in three months! The set launch date has not moved since it was last changed back in March. This time the anchor seems to hold! So once again I’m foolish enough to announce the official forecast for the whole world to hear: It shall be towards the latter part of the merry month of September of this present year, when Aluna will be going to get her belly wet.
